Note:   Mathilda went back to St. Louis to live with her parents on California Ave. after her husband abandoned her and the children. In 1920 she lived at 3519 Indiana Ave. In 1940 she lived with her daughter Rachel at 1318 N. Berends St. in Los Angeles. She is buried in Concordia Cemetery, St. Louis.
