Note:   William A. Going (August Wilhelm) came to Nebraska with the rest of his family when he was 9 years old. The famiy numbered 10 then and they came by covered wagon and crossed the Missouri River at Decatur, Nebraska when it was frozen over. He was confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church near Lyons in its first recorded class in 1880. He was a farmer in Burt County, Nebraska, his farm being the easternmost 160 acres of his father's farm, on the northeast quarter of Section 8, Bell Creek Township, Burt County..
