Note:   Dorothea was born in Steinhude Nr. 138. She came to America with her husband and six children on the Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse, arriving in New York on 5 October 1898. They lived in Valley County NE, and later moved to Grand Island NE. She and son Frank were asphyxiated by gas due to a coffee pot boiling over. Son Albert was in the house also but survived.
