Note:   Marian grew up in Lyons and was a graduate of Lyons High School. She moved to Fremont in 1947 and was a telegraph operator for the Union Pacific Railroad in Valley. She then was employed at Nick Neff Tire & Motor Co. in Fremont. She moved to Cedar Bluffs in 1963 and she and her husband operated the Hub Bar until 1982. She was a clerk at the Cedar Bluffs Post Office from 1982-88. In 1988, the couple then moved to Plattsmouth, where they distributed the Omaha World-Herald newspaper to carriers. She returned to Cedar Bluffs in 1993 and had been residing at A.J. Merrick Manor since 2003. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Cedar Bluffs Commercial Club. She was active at the Cedar Bluffs Senior Center and was a former Cub Scout Den Mother.
