Note:   Farmer in Falls City, Nebraska. He came to the US 1872 with his wife and four surviving children (Bertha, Pauline, Augusta, and baby Franz) aboard the Cimbria, passenger ship list dated 14 Aug 1872. They settled on a farm about six miles northeast of Falls City, Nebraska. He retired from farming and moved to Falls City about 1903. He suffered from gallstones and died of a hemorrhage of the stomach. He is buried in the Werner Cemetery.
