Note: Mrs. Louisa A., widow of Charles H. Geist, Maple Grove, Alburtis R. 1, while temporarily living with her son, Uriah A., of 632 N. Ninth St., Allentown, passed away from an apoplectic affection on Monday evening, aged 74 years, 1 months and 11 days. Preliminary services will be held over her remains on Thursday, July 21, at 2 p.m., daylight saving time, from the funeral parlors of Undertaker A. J. Heller, at 46 East Susquehanna St., followed with other services and interment at the Longswamp church, at 2.30 p.m., standard time. Her pastor, W. F. Bond, who returned from a vacation trip at Pittsburgh, will officiate. [Shamrock news, The Morning Call, Allentown, PA, Friday, July 22, 1927, page 2] The remains of Mrs. Louisa H. Geist, of Maple Grove, were laid to rest on Thursday, July 21, in the Longswamp cemetery, along side those of her husband, Charles H. Geist, who preceded her in 1889. She was a daughter of Thomas Acker and wife, Mary (nee Fritch) and was born June 7, 1853 in Longswamp, and was baptized July 31, 1853, by Rev. W. A. Helffrich, the sponsors having been Harrison Fegely and wife Judith. In early life she was confirmed in the Longswamp church by Rev. Alfred D. Croll. Later she was joined in marriage by Rev. W. A. Helffrich to Charles H. Geist, who died 38 years ago, having left her with three sons. She raised her remaining children and continued to be a devoted and consistent member of Longswamp congregation. She passed away July 18 from the effects of a fall at her son's home, Uriah A. Geist, on North Ninth St., Allentown, aged 74 years, 1 month and 11 days. There survive three sons: Thomas C. Geist, Pittsburgh; George W., Philadelphia, and Uriah A., Allentown; also three sisters, Mrs. Jackson M. Fallman, Philadelphia; Mrs. Mary A. Wetzel, Shamrock, and Mrs. Agnes A.
