a. Note:   Ramen R. Acker, 71, of 6008 Main St., Fogelsville, died last night in his home. A former employee at the old Allentown plant of the American Steel & Wire Co., and the Acker Roofing Co. of Allentown, he retired five years ago. He was the husband of Lizzie L. (Beitler) Acker. Born in Weisenberg Township, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Kemmerer) Acker. He was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegels Church, Breinigsville R. 1. Besides his widow, he is survived by three stepsons, George Herman of Wescosville R. 1, Donald Kistler of Fogelsville and Kenneth Kistler of New Tripoli R. 2; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth, wife of Walter Lotier of Allentown; three brothers, Marcus of Port Clinton; Dewey of Allentown and William of New Tripoli; four sisters, Jennie, wife of Wallace Flickinger; Edith, wife of Charles Donat; Alma, wife of Theodore Titlow, and Mrs. Savannah Roth, all of Allentown, and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ziegels Church. Viewing will be from 1 p.m. Friday until time of service. The Schmoyer Funeral Home in Breinigsville is in charge of arrangements.
