a. Note:   Kutztown, June 11 --- William Amandus Gift, 88, died yesterday in his home, 11 East Main St., this borough. A retired carpenter, Gift was a member of Moselem Lutheran Church. His wife, Laura Catherine (Reinert) Gift, preceded him in death. Surviving are two daughters: Edna, wife of William Leibensberger, Kutztown, and Katie, wife of Herbert B. Adam, Sassamansville; two sons: William P. and James H., both of Hamburg R. D. 2; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Schaeffer & Stump Funeral Home, this borough, the Rev. Carlton L. Heckman officiating. Burial in Moselem Cemetery.
