Note: For many years it was widely thought that this child died at birth or died very young. However, I found her in the 1870 census in Anderson County, TN with her father, Philip, and new step-mother, Mary (Black). However, Philip died very shortly after that, she disappeared again, and never re-appeared in Tennessee records. I found her next in Grayson County, TXwhere she had moved with her half-brother, Noah. An article in the "Ancestors and Descendants, Grayson County, TX" said that she was the "orphaned daughter of a doctor" and that she and Noah "farmed in Sister Grove, TX". Her husband, William Little, was a law officer in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He fought in the Johnson County Range War, also known as the War on Powder River. [jrs]..
