Note: Richard's parents are John and Catherine (Evans) Parton and he's a brother of Benjamin, who married Deborah Shults. He and Mattie are said to be buried in the Parton Cemetery on Tunis Branch near Pittman Center. The Sevier County Cemetery Book does list a Richard Parton there, died in 1937, age 95 (that conflicts with the birthdate shown here). They're ALSO said to be buried in the James Cemetery in Richardsons Cove.
