Notes
a. Note:   m 'Clarke-Hough Genealogy' by Edwin P. Clark: 'At the age of sixteen, Willett enlisted in the military and served as a fifer in the Second Hopkinton Company during the Revolutionary War. He was only 19 when he married Sarah Pendleton. '...it appears that Willett developed a wanderlust and began a succession of moves westward. He finally settled down as a farmer in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, New York some time around 1800-1815. '...Willett Sr. is listed on the muster roll of Volunteer Infantry of Exempts having served in the Company of Captain Mark Hopkins in March, 1813. Three of his sons, including John Delancey, served with the militia also.' Willet's death is somewhat of a mystery because we can't find where or when he died. He may have gone to Pendleton, Niagara Co, NY to be with his oldest son, Sylvestor. We have no death for Sarah either. Willet was married when he wrote to his brother but he doesn't give his wife's name! We think he may have been married twice anyway. He died sometime after 1820 in Henderson, Jefferson, New York.
Note:   Some of their children settled in Pendleton, Niagara Co., New York. Fro
