He removed from Berlin in 1805 and settled in the Town of Adams at Greene Settlement, Jefferson County, where he spent the rest of his life. In 1878 a writer estimated that there were over 300 Greenes living in the Town of Adams. CHARLES GREENE died 9 May 1878 aged 99 years 7 months at the home of his son LEANDER GREENE at Adams Center. He was the last living constituent member of the Adams, NY SDB Church Admitted 9 Jun 1822 - Adams, New York.
