a. Note:   hington Co., Charlestown Township. The reason for their migration to Rensselaer Co., New York around 1800 is not documented. Isaac was left with small children when Watey died in 1802. The Yerdon Road Cemetery is a small plot alongside the road. It must have adjoined the property that Isaac farmed on the west edge of Petersburg. Isaac's will was written 9 Jun 1819 in Petersburg, NY and proved there 14 Jul 1819. Old Tobe has Isaac marrying (2) Susannah Potter, daughter of George Potter and Content Maxson, 10 Jun 1802 in Hopkinton. For the following reasons, this does not appear to be correct: 1. Isaac was living in Petersburg, NY at the time. 3. Susannah and Samuel had their sixth child, Thankful, 7 Aug 1803. 4. Susannah died in Hopkinton in 1825. So if Isaac did marry this Susannah, she would have returned to Hopkinton after Isaac's death in 1819. It is more likely that Isaac married a different Susannah Potter.
