a. Note:   h Harrod JACKSON standing in front of his meat market. The caption below reads, 'Harrod JACKSON, grandfather of Hartley SUMMERS, built the building now occupied by Roethe, Buhrow and Roethe, in the 1880's and opened a meat market there. He also sold meat from a wagon filled with ice. He retired about 1920, and the building was sold to the Milton Power Company run by J. H. BURDICK. After the Wisconsin Power & Light Company bought the Milton Power Company, they maintained the office until the late 1960's'
