a. Note:   d to a new farm in Avon, Coffey Co., Kansas. Her adopted son Russel 'Allie' was born November, 1858 in Kansas. 1860 census Avon, Coffey Co., Kansas, 26, born New York. Her son Allie died in 1862 in Verona, NY and was buried there by his grandfather Russel. Her husband Alban died in 1864 and was buried on their land in Kansas. Mary returned to New York some time between 1660 and 1865 as she is not mentioned in the 1865 Coffey Co., Kansas census. In that census her daughter Jane is shown living with Alban`s brother William R and his (3rd) wife, Amanda. From the Pleasent Hill (Saunders) Cemetery History. On 2 April 1870, Mary A. Saunders of Oneida Co., N. Y. transferred one acre of land to Caleb Butler, John Geisy and J. T. Dutscher, trustees of Saunders Cemetery. Mary died 27 November 1873 in Westerly RI of Typhoid Fever that she contracted from her sister while taking care of her while she had Typhoid Fever. She was buried in Verona, Oneida Co., New York in 1873, near her son Allie and her father-in-law Russel.
