a. Note:   MRS. MARY ELLEN COE BROWN, 85, died at 3:42 p.m. at her home, 417 ClintonSt., Columbus. A former local resident she had been in ill health for 3 1/2 months. Born in Pike County on August 2, 1868, she was a daughter of William A. and Sarah Edwards Coe.
  Her husband, William A. Brown died in 1951. She resided for years in the Pleasant Hill community, moving to Columbus about nine years ago.
  Surviving are three sons, Charles Brown, Waverly, Route 2, Roy Brown of Troy and Purl Brown of Frankfort, OH; five daughters, Miss Clara Brown, Mrs. Ercel Throckmorton and Mr. Lenora Patterson, all of Columbus, Mrs. Bessie Rittenhouse of Tucson, AZ, and Mrs. Leona Davis of Akron, OH; three brothers, Albert Coe of Decator, NE, Charles Coe of South Charleston, OH, and Frank Coe of Milford Center, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Colburn and Mrs. Emma Brown, both of Chillicothe, 29 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.
  She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church. Service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Harold Eagon Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home. Chillicothe Gazette, February 15, 1954
