a. Note:   MRS. EMMA ALICE COE BROWN, 627 Allen Avenue, died at 11:15 p.m.,Thursday, at the residence after an extended illness. Born in Pike County, September 8, 1865, she was a daughter of William and Sarah Edwards Coe. On February 15, 1883, she married William A. Brown, who died March 17, 1937. She was a member of the Pee Pee Methodist Church.
  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Anne Hillery of Columbus; three sons, C. E. and A. L. Brown, both at home, and W. O. of Rte 3; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; three brothers, Albert Coe of Decatur, NE, Charles of South Charleston and Frank of Milford Center; and a sister, Mrs. Ada Colburn of Route 7. Five children, Mrs. Mae Meyers, Mrs. Viola Coler, Ray Brown, Everett M. Brown, and Eddie Brown, predeceased her.
  Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, at the Ware Funeral Home, and friends may call there afternoon Sunday. The Rev. Harry F. Baker will officiate and burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Chillicothe Gazette, October 14, 1955
