Notes
a. Note:   RESEARCH STANDARD APPLIED
Researched by Timothy J. Barron, updated April 14, 2021
Cora Long is my paternal third great aunt, which is via common ancestry with Andrew Long and Jane Nevan. Cora was initially identified in the 1875 census living with her parents.
Based on the application of recognized genealogical standards of proof, the descent and family structure of Cora Long is sufficiently established beyond any reasonable doubt. The basis for the descent of Cora begins with the census records, which show her living with her parents. This is followed by the marriage record, which lists the full names of both parents. The descent of Cora is also demonstrated horizontally by an almshouse record of her brother John Long, which names Cora as his sister. The basis for the family structure begins with the census records, and is followed by her obituary. This has been subsequently supported with the additional interlocking records and documentation listed further below.
Cora had a total of five children according to the 1910 census. The 1900 census indicates that she had three other children who were already deceased. The names of these three other children have not yet been identified.
