Notes
a. Note:   RESEARCH STANDARD APPLIED
Researched by Timothy J. Barron, updated March 19, 2021
Ralph W. Jones is my paternal third great uncle, which is via common ancestry with George W. Jones and Elizabeth McClanathan. Ralph was initially identified in the census living with his parents. Mary was initially identified by the marriage index record.
Based on the application of recognized genealogical standards of proof, the descent and family structure of Ralph W. Jones has been sufficiently established beyond any reasonable doubt. The basis for the descent of Ralph begins with the census records, which show him living with his parents. This is followed by the marriage index, which lists the full names of both parents. The basis for the family structure begins with the marriage index record, and is followed by the census records. This has been subsequently supported with the additional interlocking records and documentation listed further below.
The birth, baptism, and immigration records list Mary Anna Hoppe with Anna as her forename, and Maria as her middle name. After immigrating, and beginning with the 1875 census, all records list her forename as Mary. Ralph and Mary had no children.
