Leslie was buried on Wednesday, April 22, 1936 in Wrights Corners Cemetery in Newfane, Niagara County, New York, USA. The following appeared in the Union Sun and Journal newspaper from Lockport, Niagara County, New York, USA, on Monday Evening, April 20, 1936: "Leslie G. Spalding Dies at Newfane. Thirty Years a Pattern Maker in Lockport, Funeral Wednesday at Home. Ill only 15 minutes, Leslie G.
