Note: RESEARCH STANDARD APPLIED Researched by Timothy J. Barron, updated May 2, 2021 Hazel Rose Johnson is my paternal great aunt, which is via common ancestry with Emil Andrew Johnson and Rose Caroline Nienhaus. Hazel and Harry Melnick were initially identified by my grandmother, who was the sister of Hazel. Based on the application of recognized genealogical standards of proof, the descent and family structure of Hazel Rose Johnson have been sufficiently established beyond any reasonable doubt. The basis for the descent of Hazel begins her birth record, which lists the names of both parents. This is followed by her social security record, which also list the names of both parents. The basis for the family structure begins with the census record, and is followed by the obituary of Harry. This has been subsequently supported with the additional interlocking records and documentation listed further below. After Hazel’s sister Lorraine divorced in 1963 and Harry died in 1971, Hazel and Lorraine lived together for about 20 years at 3038 North 77th Court in Elmwood Park, Illinois, USA.
