Notes
a. Note:   RESEARCH STANDARD APPLIED
Researched by Timothy J. Barron, updated May 3, 2021
Stanley Maisel and Anastasia Mazur are my maternal great grandparents. They were initially identified on the death record of their son Stanley Maisel, which lists his parents as Stanley Maisel and Anastasia Mazur.
Based on the application of recognized genealogical standards of proof, the descent of Stanley Maisel, the descent of Anastasia Mazur, and their family structure have been sufficiently established beyond any reasonable doubt. The basis for the descent of Stanley begins his his census records, which show him living with his parents. This is followed by his death record, which lists the full names of both parents and siblings. The basis for the descent of Anastasia begins the census records, which show her living with her parents. This is followed by her social security record, which list the names of both parents. The basis for the family structure begins with the census records and obituaries. This has been subsequently supported with the additional interlocking records and documentation listed further below.
Based on the application of recognized standards for DNA evidence, the family structure of Stanley Maisel and Anastasia Mazur has been corroborated with DNA matches between descendants of their children, which are listed further below.
Stanislaw is a Polish name, and Stanislaus is the German variation and Stanley is the English variation, and all three variations are found on documentation. Anastazja is a Polish name, and Anastasia is the English variation. The 1900 census shows each living with their parents in the same building, so this appears to be how they first met.
