Note: RESEARCH STANDARD APPLIED · Researched by Timothy J. Barron, updated November 15, 2015 Ken is my second great grand uncle. He was initially identified in the 1958 book "Genealogy of Hollon and Related Families" by Clay Hollon. Clay’s wife is the niece of Ken. Page 81 lists Ken as a son of William and Harriet. It indicates a marriage to Elizabeth Ann Wales in 1869, and that they had seven children, but the year obviously has to be in error. Proof of descent from William and Harriet is clearly provide by the baptism record. Barron, updated November 15, 2015 The 1958 book "Genealogy of Hollon and Related Families" by Clay Hollon on Page 81 indicates that Ken drowned in 1909 off the coast of Dunbar, Australia, when his ship sunk. According to Richard Papineau, Ken died off the coast of Durban, Africa, and the ship that sunk was the S.S. Waratah. The Register newspaper from Adelaide, Australia, on Thursday, August 5, 1909, contained an article called “The Missing Waratah.” The crew list under the Domestics sections lists a “K. Papineau” as a pantryman.
