  According to the research of Daniel James, the birth and baptism is recorded at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, via Baptism Register, 1887-1890, LDS Film 1577896, page 295. His godparents were “Peter Bocian” and “Agnes Majchewska.” The godfather is undoubtedly the husband of Michalina Bocian (née Mazur), the paternal aunt of Maxmillian. The godmother could potentially be Agnes Majchzak, the paternal first cousin of Maxmillian, but she would have been 16 years old at the time of his baptism.
