  GENERAL NOTES
Researched by Timothy J. Barron, updated February 1, 2014
All of the following information is from the research of Joe Campbell. James Beatty was in the military (Philippines) in 1900, but his father, Peter Beatty, was widowed and living with his daughter Margaret and her husband James Nine, along with their son, and living in Plain Township. It is believed that James and Emma met in Kentucky, married, had a child, and moved to Plain Township before August 1910, when his father was sick or dying and had another child there. James and Emma moved before 1912 to Huntington, Huntington County, Indiana, and had twins, George and Alice. Emma married Rufus Enyeart 2 1/2 years after James's death and moved to Elkhart where Rufus Jr. was born in 1918. Rufus re-married in 1925. After her marriage with Rufus ended, Emma moved to Chicago and in 1923 married Harry O'Dell Rowe and had another child, Ida. Emma later moved to San Diego where her son, Rufus and daughter Ida were raising their families.
