  Weden R. Hollon is my maternal second great uncle, which is via common ancestry with James Buchanan Hollon and Isabellah Caroline Elkins. Weden was initially identified in the book "Genealogy of Hollon and Related Families: Early Settlers of Eastern Kentucky and their Descendants,” which was written by Clay Hollon, and was published in 1958.
  Based on the application of recognized genealogical standards of proof, the descent of Weden R. Hollon is sufficiently established beyond any reasonable doubt. The basis for the descent of Weden begins with his obituary, which lists the name of his father. This is followed by his headstone, which lists the names of both of his parents. This has been subsequently supported with the additional interlocking records and documentation listed further below.

  Weden R. Hollon died on Thursday, February 11, 1892 in Wolfe County, Kentucky, USA. Weden was buried in the Old Campton Burying Ground in Campton, Wolfe County, Kentucky, USA.
  The following appeared in the Hazel Green Herald newspaper from Hazel Green, Wolfe County, Kentucky, USA on February 19, 1892, page 5: "Died, on Wednesday evening last, the infant son of J.B. Hollon, our County Clerk, at E. Collins', on Bear Pen Creek, about two miles from town, of croup and grip. It was about five months old. Mrs. Collins, who was a sister of Mrs. Hollon, took the child at death of its mother, which occurred when the child was about two months old."
  The "U.S., Find a Grave Index, 1600s-Current" is a historical record collection from the Ancestry website, and contains the following indexed listing: "Name: Weden R. Hollon; Birth Date: 25 Sep 1891; Birth Place: Wolfe County, Kentucky, United States of America; Death Date: 11 Feb 1892; Death Place: Wolfe County, Kentucky, United States of America; Cemetery: Old Campton Burying Ground; Burial or Cremation Place: Campton, Wolfe County, Kentucky, United States of America; Father: James Buchanan Hollon; Mother: Isabellah Caroline Hollon." The website contains a photograph of the headstone, which reads as follows: "Weden R., son of J.B. and Caroline Hollon, born September 25, 1891, died February 11, 1892."

  The book "Genealogy of Hollon and Related Families: Early Settlers of Eastern Kentucky and their Descendants,” which was written by Clay Hollon, and was published in 1958. Page 31 lists Weden R. Hollon as a son of James Buchanan Hollon and Caroline Elkins, and that he was born in 1891 and died an infant. It should be noted that Clay was the brother of Carrie.
